OLD FASHIONED OATMEAL COOKIES
1 cup homemade unsalted butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup homemade brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 tsp homemade pure vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups oats
Miix the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon together in a bowl and set aside.
Cream the butter and sugars together until liight and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, and miix well after each addition. Stir the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture. DO NOT OVERMIX. Fold in the oats.
PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees.
Drop of spoonfuls onto a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool for a good 5 minutes before transferring them on wire racks to cool completely.
Try adding some of these ingredients to the dough!

1/3 cup raisins
1/3 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup shredded coconut
